Not sure what I'd do with it, but delicate things do NOT last long in my house so I probably won't have vintage anything for quite some time.quiltncathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16786585035018133189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1318900051849843562.post-77926418419545978112011-05-20T06:54:43.997-04:002011-05-20T06:54:43.997-04:00This quilt looks like one my husband had made for ...This quilt looks like one my husband had made for him as a child out of some of his old shirts. Yours looks better. I think you could go either way with it. Look at it this way, you've "rescued" it and whatever you do with it, it will live on, either intact, or in pieces.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01663898256529906642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1318900051849843562.post-75158222047990163532011-05-19T16:22:15.757-04:002011-05-19T16:22:15.757-04:00I wouldn't cut an old quilt up if it was a mas...I wouldn't cut an old quilt up if it was a masterpiece, but I think this one is begging to be given a new life!Helen in Switzerlandhttp://www.runquiltknitwrite.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1318900051849843562.post-46648526891794794822011-05-19T16:00:34.173-04:002011-05-19T16:00:34.173-04:00I was pondering this myself. Today I saw an ugly but vintage quilt at a garage sale, since I'm working on a postage stamp quilt, I seriously considered buying it and using the patches for fabric in mine. Just because it's old, doesn't mean it's a beautiful design. As a matter of fact, it's rare to find a truly lovely one. I wouldn't have any compunctions about cutting it up and using whatever is good for pillows and such and using the remaining fabric for my own quilts.Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01851312702044308420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1318900051849843562.post-83259508738325456792011-05-19T10:14:20.082-04:002011-05-19T10:14:20.082-04:00Absolutely not! It's hard for me to cut them apart, (big gulp) but sometimes that is what you have to do to really enjoy them! Before cutting, I would suggest taking lots of pictures!

LaDonnaDiana and LaDonnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13763790514465110826noreply@blogger.com
