A Personal Worst

And I'm not even talking about the fabric combinations.  Yes, I pieced three different strips to two different blocks before I realized my bobbin was empty!  I do some of my best work without bobbin thread.

So, how long have you quilted before you realized your bobbin was empty?

P.S.

I think I've "sewn" a binding all the way down the long side without bobbin thread. That's not easy to do!

Congrats on being featured on SewHappyGeek!

I have sewing the sashing down one side of a quilt .....
But I sew without a bobbin all the time. I do some of my best work with out a bobbin...

Ido great work without bobbin thread! Don't know what my longest has been, but my machine has been swallowing my bobbin thread lately, so I'm doing it more and more!

Bobbin thread is ultimately so unnecessary, isn't it? It's just pesky and it's so annoying how it holds that fabric together. (Yep, I've done that several times myself although I practice selective memory so I couldn't tell you what my longest stretch without bobbin thread is!)

Every time I feel like I'm on a roll and doing a great job...no bobbin thread. LOL!

Bobbin thread? Who needs bobbin thread?? Hehe I have done that so many times. And I have no excuse because when my bobbin is about to run out, it makes a funny rattling sound, which SHOULD warn me. But that would imply I was paying attention and/or actually knew what I was doing.

We all do it---it's much nicer to sew without bobbin thread than to have a bobbin that eats the thread! Great job on being featured on SewHappyGeek!

Oh, I get so frustrated when I do that! And I do it at least once on every quilt. My old Pfaff sewing machine had a light that would go on to warn you that you were getting low on bobbin thread. I LOVED that feature. My new Bernina doesn't have it. What's up with that???
Congrats on being featured on Sew Happy Geek!!!!
