Easy Street Finish

One of our local quilt shops is closing in September.  The owner is retiring I think. Anyway,I took advantage of the going out of business sale and finally got the outer border on my version of Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street.  Please excuse the rotten photo.  My house is covered up with trees and it is just dark all the time.

After walking past this quilt on my living room floor about a zillion times I've decided the turquoise or aqua or whatever it is was a mistake.  Should've gone with green like the quilt store employee suggested.  But I'm not changing.  It's done, done done and I'm on to something else.

I think the aqua goes with it very well. The whole design and color scheme is lovely!

i LOVE the aqua- green is predictable, plus the aqua makes the green pop!! when i get around to making this quilt- i'm using an aqua border *wink*

Jane, I really like the aqua - it makes the aqua in the quilt itself pop a bit more than it would with green. It's gorgeous! Whoop whoop!!

that's too funny, I have green on mine and wish I would have gone with Turquoise like you did!! I think it looks great and your turquoise border really brings out the green in your quilt.

Lovely Easy Street quilt. It will brighten up any room. (I was going to say 'brighten up a shady room,' but that could be taken a couple of ways. LOL) I have the same trouble taking photos at my house too with all the shade trees filtering the daylight.

Me too, I think the aqua is lovely and fresh and gives the quilt a sunny feel. Great to see another Easy Street done, mine is waiting for its turn to be quilted.

I like the aqua.. It's fresh... I'm pretty certain that if you'd used the green it would have been pretty (but predictable) and would have lacked the sparkle the aqua brings to it. I think you went with the right choice.
