Blogger's Quilt Festival 2011!

I made this quilt a couple of years ago after discovering online fabric shopping.  It was inspired by Kaffe Fassett's S Block quilt.  Sorry Kaffe!  There was a really big sale.  I ordered half yard cuts of every fabric that caught my eye and apparently used everyone one of them.  Yes, I did!  The quilting is atrocious, but my hubby loves this quilt, and so do I!

Many thanks to Amy for hosting the Blogger's Quilt Festival.  Click on my link in the sidebar to see all the other wonderful quilts!

Simply gorgeous, the yellows are great!!! Quilting is not always easy, but what we have to be proud of what we CAN do and ignore those faults. It's hard I do the same thing I know! Thanks ya for sharing:)

Beautiful quilt! I had a quilt teacher who used to tell us if you can't see it when galloping by on a horse, don't worry about it. The quilting looks great from the blog view!

Absolutely so lovely and the vibrancy just sings! Love kaffee's fabrics and have one of his quilts--pickle dish--at my recliner. I can totally understand wanting to buy some of everything of his! Thanks for sharing and have a great day

I made the same quilt as a wedding present for my niece. I think I like your colours more. The hint of blue really compliments the yellows. I'm always buying fabric on line, it's half the fun.

Love it. I'm a Kaffe fan too, so I like the way you used your collection of his fabrics. Don't you love using Westminster fabrics? The colors are so intense and wonderful to cut up and put back together.

I know many people love that color all over the place and frankly, you did do it well because you broke it up with the solids.

I do find that I like a "eh" quilt more after creating it if a recipient or family member likes it. It makes me feel like the effort was appreciated even if it's not my own tastes.
